High Power Sources

These modules are built for specialized applications where maximizing output power takes priority over precise frequency control. They are commonly used in imaging systems for security screening and non-destructive testing in industrial environments.

Each unit delivers an RF signal at millimeter-wave frequencies and is composed of a Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) paired with an Amplifier/Multiplier Chain (AMC). The AMC leverages ACST’s proprietary high-power multiplier technology to deliver excellent performance in terms of output power, bandwidth, and spectral integrity.

The output frequency is voltage-tunable via the VCO’s V-tune port. These are self-contained, plug-and-play units that require only a standard DC power supply for operation. An optional TTL port is available for ON/OFF signal modulation if needed.

While the integrated VCO is free-running and does not offer phase noise control, these sources are user-friendly and well-suited for applications such as antenna testing and power-based imaging systems where phase stability is not critical.
