Schottky Diodes Optimized for Operation in Varactor Mode
ACST provides a specialized selection of millimeter-wave Schottky diodes engineered for varactor mode operation. These components are essential in frequency multiplier chains and support signal generation across mmWave and THz bands.
The 15VA, 4VSF, and 5VA series each serve distinct use cases. The 15VA series uses a “T-structure” with two varactor anodes per arm and performs well up to 500 GHz. For simpler handling and mounting, the 4VSF series offers a larger geometry, making it suitable for manual assembly or prototyping. In contrast, the 5VA series features three varactor anodes connected in series and only two contact pads. This structure helps reduce complexity during circuit integration.
These diodes operate reliably and efficiently across demanding frequency ranges. As a result, they are well-suited for research labs and commercial system designs alike. ACST’s varactor diodes combine high-frequency performance with straightforward implementation, giving engineers the flexibility to develop advanced multiplier systems with confidence
